제목 Conjugation of glycine onto 3-mercaptopropionic acid assembled onto silver nanoparticles via an 1-ethyl-3-[3-dimethylaminopropyl]carbodiimide hydrochloride(EDC) coupling investigated by means of surface-enhanced Raman scattering
초록 Bioconjugation of glycine with the carboxylate covered silver nanoparticle surfaces has been examined to check its coupling mechanism by means of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The Ag nanoparticles covered with the carboxyl groups were prepared by self-assembling the Ag nanoparticles with 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA). The SERS spectrum of MPA was found to be almost identical to that after adding glycine without EDC coupling agents. The SERS spectrum of MPA with glycine and EDC coupling agents revealed new spectral features suggesting the formation of the amide bond between the carboxyl group and the amine group of glycine. Our results indicate that the SERS method can be utilized as directly monitoring the bioconjugation of aminoacids and carboxylate groups on metal surfaces.
