We synthesized CdSe quantum dots which exhibit color variation (500 ~ 650 nm) with narrow FWHM (< 30 nm) using Cd-oleic acid complex (Cd-OA2) and Se in trioctylphosphine oxide and hexadecylamine. To Enhance photoluminescence efficiency of CdSe QDs, we passivated the surface of CdSe with ZnS using diethylzinc and hexamethyldisilathiane. Optical properties and crystal structure of QDs were characterized with UV-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy, XRD and TEM. For the application to passive light emitting diode, polymer/QDs composite was fabricated via solvent evaporation or spin casting and characterized with UV-visible spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy. Furthermore, QDs-based electroluminescence devices were fabricated with poly (vinylcarbazole) (PVK) /QDs layered structure via phase separation during spin casting of PVK/QDs composite solution. |
