제목 | Effect of Crosslinking Agent and Silica Filler on Molded Flexible Polyurethane Foams |
초록 | Polyurethane foams(PUFs) have microcellular structures, produced by gas bubbles formed during polyurethane polymerization reaction. Molded foams, a relatively newer technology, find application in all forms of transportation seating and trim parts, as well as in some upholstered furniture, bedding, packaging, and novelty items. In this experiment, a series of PUFs were obtained as quasi-prepolymer method. PUFs were prepared from 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI), polyether polyol, diethanolamine(DEOA), silica filler, silicone surfactant, catalysts and distilled water as blowing agent. These PUFs have been characterized in term of thermal, mechanical and dynamic mechanical properties. Compression set, cell size and its distribution were measured to study the structure-property relationships of PUFs. It was found that the structure and properties of molded flexible PUFs prepared in our experiments were controlled by the content of crosslinking agent, silica filler and the type of silica filler. |
