Multifunctional nanoparticles with tunable plasmonic and magnetic properties have been considered as a potential probe in biomedical field because they can develop the precision and efficacy of diagnosis and therapy. Specially, due to their strong field enhancement by antenna effect, the synthesis of metallic nanoparticles with tip structure has been studied. However, they are suffered from several problems such as optical tunability and solution-based fabrication. Here we report a new wet chemical method to synthesis the silver nanoantenna with iron-oxide core. The particles were fabricated by Ag overgrowth from dumbbell-like Ag-FexOy with the size of less than 30 nm. We tested the effect of type of reducing agent and solvents in proposed synthesis. |
