Microalgae have been proposed as an interesting, easy-cultured, infinite marine source in the use for natural functional ingredients and several researches have been reported the possibility to find bioactive compounds in these organisms. Phaeodactylum tricornutum, one species of the microalgae, is known for containing functional substances which has significant antiinflammatory and analgesic activitiy. Gelatin is an attractive natural polymer for biomedical applications due to its excellent biocompatibility and degradability into non-toxic products. In this study we made a gelatin nanofiber mat containing Phaeodactylum tricornutum. First, to make the Gelatin-Phaeodactylum Nanofibermat by the electrospinning, tetrafluoroethanol (TFE) was used as a solvent. To find a proper dope solution condition, electroconductivity and viscosity was investigated. After that, condition for electrospinning was found by dope solution concentration, voltage, and flow rate. |
