Extremely bright AC Driven Polymer Electroluminescence Device using solution-processable hole-generation layer |

Electroluminescent (EL) devices based on solution-processed materials that include fluorescent polymers are quite attractive for a variety of emerging mobile applications due to their low production costs and potential for fabrication into flexible, large area, lightweight devices. We reported solution-processed Polymer alternating current driven electroluminescence device (AC EL). An excellent strategy was employed to ensure high brightness. The self-assembled block copolymer micelles (PS-b-P4VP) were incorporated as dispersing agent. Well dispersed MWNTs with poly (styrene-block-4vinylpyridine) (PS-b-P4VP) micelles were homogeneously mixed with fluorescent polymers. Additionally, Hole-generation layer is deposited between fluorescent polymers/MWNTs nano-composites and dielectric layer. We demonstrated an extremely high brightness of solution-processed polymer AC EL device with brightness of approximately 40000 cd m-2 for yellow. |
