제목 Synthesis of Silica-g-PSSA (SMS) on polymer electrolyte membrane from di(ethyleneglycol) dimethacrylate and styrenesulfonic acid for direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC)
초록 DMFC has high energy density, fuel storage stability and has the advantage of transport. Methanol can be directly supplied to the anode, so DMFC has simple fuel supply system. DMFC can be used portable power supply device because of the simple system device. Also, It has eco-friendly features. Important part of DMFC is polymer electrolyte membrane. Nafion is widely used as polymer electrolyte membrane because of its high ion conductivity, good thermal and chemical stabilities. However, it has high methanol permeability and high cost. In this study, polymer electrolyte membrane to resolve the disadvantage of the Nafion was fabricated. First, Matrix was manufactured by using monomer to include di(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate(DEGDMA) and styrenesulfonic acid(SSA). Additionally, silica to polymerize styrenesulfonic acid(SSA) using γ-MPS was diffused on matrix. As a result of this study, we expect that the membrane has lower methanol permeability, higher ion conductivity than Nafion.
