Enhancement of ion conductivity of poly(diethyleneglycol dimethacrylate-co-styrenesulfonic acid) membrane with poly(styrenesulfonic acid) grafted carbon nanotube for direct methanol fuel cell |
초록 |
Composite membrane was fabricated by polymerization di(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate (DEGDMA) with styrenesulfonic acid(SSA) in order to reduce methanol crossover with remain proton conductivity of Nafion. Prepared MWNTs-g-PSSA by atomic transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) added to the composites membrane for lower conductivity. The crosslinking reaction between DEGDMA and SSA was characterized through TGA, FT-IR and NMR. Ion conductivity and water uptake were investigated. The solvent swelling ratio of the membranes were controlled by adding a suitable crosslinker and varying the mole ratios of sulfonic acid groups. The proton conductivities of all the membranes were in the range of 103 to 102 S/cm. Also, mechanical properties increased and DEGDMA/SSA/PSSAMWNTs better than DEGDMA/SSA base polymer. |
