The mitigation of CO2 has emerged as an important issue in the international community. Accordingly, technologies such as carbon capture, utilization, and storage have been studied to reduce the carbon dioxide concentration. Among these technologies, the electrochemical reduction technology of carbon dioxide not only obtains useful carbon resources. At present, much research is being conducted on transition metals as CO2 reduction catalysts. Especially, Ag has been studied as a catalyst because of its high CO selectivity and low overpotential. However, high cost of Ag catalysts still remain as a challenge. As a solution, research is underway to achieve high efficiency with low Ag loading by controlling morphology and crystal structure. Ag deposition solution with various additives was prepared and Ag catalyst was formed on a substrate. Then, the crystal structure of the Ag catalyst was observed by X-ray diffraction. |
