제목 Polyelectrolyte Complex Micelles of Oppositely Charged Block Copolymers for Drug Delivery System
초록 Polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) micelles of oppositely charged block copolymers have been of great interest for advanced drug delivery of ionic drugs, DNAs and RNAs. We report herein that two stimuli-responsive polyelectrolyte block copolymers of positively charged poly(N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate-block-N-isopropylacrylamide), poly(DMAEMA-b-NIPAM) and negatively charged poly(acrylic acid-block- N-isopropylacrylamide), poly(AAc-b-NIPAM) at different block lengths were synthesized by reversible-addition-fragmentation chain-transfer radical polymerization and mixture of these oppositely charged diblock copolymers formed the PEC micelles via electrostatic interaction. In addition, the thiol end groups of the PEC micelles were further oxidized into disulfide bonds for their stabilization. These PEC micelles were found to be responsive against temperature, pH and oxidation-reduction. In conclusion, charged drug-loaded PEC micelles would be useful for stimuli-triggered drug release.
