Poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)(PLCL) coating for drug releasing medical devices |
초록 |
Recently, many drug releasing medical devices (drug eluting stent, antibiotics releasing catheter, etc) are used increasingly in clinical area. We have studied the in vitro release kinetics of indomethacin from drug-loaded poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)(PLCL) and poly (ethylene vinyl acetate)(PEVA). 316L stainless steel sticks (20mm) were coated by each coating solution. The coating quality was assessed by scanning electromicroscopy analysis (SEM), release of indomethacin was characterized in vitro incubating and UV spectrophotometry. The coating was examined both pre- and post-release and did not show abnormal modifications. Release kinetics of indomethacin depended on polymer and drug concentration. Drug-loaded PLCL polymer showed slower drug release rate than drug-loaded PEVA polymer. With biodegradable property, PLCL is expected to be good coating material for drug releasing medical devices. |
