제목 Effect of PE-g-MAH Compatibilizer on Mechanical Property and Flammability of irradiated HDPE/EPDM/TPP/B4C Blend
초록 This study aims to evaluate the dispersibility of additive by compatibilizer in a polymer matrix. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) was mixed by a lab-scale brabender with a ethylene-propylene diene monomer (EPDM) as a comonomer, triphenyl phosphate (TPP) as a flame retardant, boron carbide (B4C) as a reinforcing agent and polyethylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PE-g-MAH) as a compatabilizer for enhancing flammability, mechanical property and morphology. Blends were cured by electron beam with 100 kGy. The morphology was observed by SEM. The thermal and mechanical properties were characterized by TGA, DSC and UTM, respectively. The flammability was measured according to ISO 4589-2 by the limiting oxygen index (LOI) test.
