제목 Synthesis of Surface Modified Polydiacetylene Liposomes andTheir Application for Biosensor and Gene Carriers
초록 Polyethylenimine(PEI) has been used for gene carrier because of its cationic property and DNA condensing ability. PEI with high molecular weight has exhibited high gene delivery efficiency, but its toxicity is high, too. Polydiacetylene(PDA) liposomes are made of diacetylene lipid monomers. These liposomes are polymerized through the ultraviolet irradiation and they undergo chromic change by various environmental stimuli. Their specific properties have been widely studied as chemical or biological sensor systems. Also, these liposomes can be used for gene or drug carriers. In the present study, we synthesized polyethylenimine-modified polydiacetylene liposomes as liposomal vector for gene delivery. We confirmed these liposome’s properties and performed transfection assay. As the result, these liposomes showed some gene delivery efficiency and low toxicity. The study indicate that polyethylenimine-modified polydiacetylene liposomes is expected to be an efficient gene carrier system.
