제목 | Effect of Si/Al ratio on NiW-supported HY zeolite catalyst for selective ring opening of 1-methylnaphthalene |
초록 | The high oil price and rigorous environmental regulations of transportation fuel quality have led to a significant interest in the heavy oil upgrading process. Multi-ring aromatics are the major constituents of the heavy oil. In order to produce high-value middle distillates from the heavy oil, the selective ring opening (SRO) of multi-ring aromatics is a prospective pathway and it has been studied by many researchers. In the SRO of multi-ring aromatics, bi-functional catalytic system (metallic and acid functions) is needed for aromatic saturation and a suitable ring opening. In this study, we prepared bi-functional catalysts using HY zeolites with various Si/Al ratios for acidic function and impregnating of Ni and W precursors for metallic function. The SRO of 1-methylnaphthalene as a model compound was carried out using the prepared NiW-supported HY catalysts in fixed bed reactor system. |
