제목 New Carbazole Derivatives using Diazocine for OLED Emitters
초록 The new diazocine derivatives, CzP-D and PCz-D have been success fully synthesized and characterized. Although methanodibenzo-diazocine skeleton has received much attention in several decades, study of methanodibenzo-diazocine tethered heterocyclic ring systems is rare. The only report available to date is 2,8-diazolyl substituted Tröger's bases by Pardo et al.
The synthesized materials, CzP-D and PCz-D showed maximum absorption 329 to 353 nm in the film state and exhibited blue photoluminescence (PL) emissions at 426, 451 nm  respectively. This red-shift in PL spectra of PCz-D may be due to the electron donating effect of carbazole. The use of PCz-D in a non-doped organic light emitting diode (OLED) device resulted in blue emission with current efficiency of 0.57 cd/A and CIE of (0.27, 0.42).
