제목 | Polyurethane/Clay Nanocomposite Synthesized by One-Shot Process |
초록 | Polyurethanes are very versatile polymer materials. Although polyurethanes exhibit good mechanical properties such as high abrasion resistance, tear strength, flexibility and elasticity, polyurethanes have some disadvantages, for example, poor thermal stability and low barrier properties. Polyurethane/clay nanocomposites with dispersed layered silicate can overcome these disadvantages. Polyurethane/clay nanocomposites synthesized by one-shot process were studied. Polymeric surfactant having tertiary amine was successfully synthesized and pristine MMT was treated with the surfactant. PU/Clay nanocomposites were synthesized by one-shot process and their structure showed ordered intercalated structure. The number average molecular weight of the nanocomposites was about twice that of pure polyurethane due to the polymeric surfactant. From the TGA results, the thermal properties of the nanocomposites were enhanced by the introduction of clay. |
