Adsorption of methane on beer less-based activated carbons |

Adsorbed natural gas (ANG) storage systems offer several advantages including the reversible operation with higher working density under ambient temperature and pressure comparing with conventional methods such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) storages. In this study, the beer lees-based activated carbons are prepared for adsorption of methane. The carbonized beer lees samples are chemically activated by adding potassium hydroxide. The effects of activation agent and temperature on adsorption capacity are investigated using a volumetric adsorption apparatus. |
