제목 MWNT filled polyamide 6 magnetic microsphere and their magnetorheology
초록 Magnetorheological (MR) fluid, composed of soft magnetic particles with little hysteresis suspended in non-magnetic liquid medium, is a phase controllable material under an external magnetic field. Magnetic microspheres consisting of MWNT filled polyamide 6 (PA6) shell wrapping the magnetic carbonyl iron particle as a core was prepared by an in-situ polymerization method and then adopted as a MR material. To enhance the dispersion stability and mechanical property, both PA6 and MWNT were encapsulated magnetic particles. Physical characteristics of MWNT/PA6 magnetic microspheres, such as morphologies, magnetic properties, components of magnetic microsphere, rheological properties, were investigated. MR performances were examined using a rotational rheometer (MCR300). The MR characteristics were measured via rotational, oscillatory and compression tests. Sedimentation rate of the fabricated MWNT/PA6 magnetic microsphere suspensions were also investigated.
