A study on Ferro-, Piezoelectric properties with crystal structureof Polyvinylidene difluoride(PVDF) - Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes Electrospun Nanocomposite |

Poly(vinylidene fluoride)- multiwalled carbon nanotubes nanocomposites with various weight fraction by using electrospinning process are prepared for studying about the additive effect of MWCNT on polymorphic behavior, and Electroactive properties in comparision with electrospun pristine PVDF membrane. The value of remnant polarization and piezoelectric response which were approximately proportional to the amount of content of piezoelectric beta-form crystal also increase with the MWCNT loading. We use the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and wide angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD) to reveal the dramatic changes in the formation of the beta-form crystal structure with the MWCNT loading. Furthermore, application such as mechanical stretching and electric poling can act as synergistic method to induce not only highly oriented beta form crystallites but also great ferro-, piezoelectric performances. |
