In the PDP industries, Magnesium oxide (MgO) is one of the most important materials. MgO protecting layer should be formed using nano-sized MgO particles to reduce the PDP production cost. In this work, nano-sized MgO particles were prepared by spray pyrolysis from the different spray solution, used magnesium nitrate, chloride and acetate. The precursor particles obtained by spray pyrolysis were post-treated at temperature from 500 to 900 oC for 2 h. The mean sizes of MgO particles prepared from the nitrate, chloride and acetate spray solution were each 17, 19 and 12 nm, respectively. |
