Electrical property and morphology of PC/PMMA/CNT Blends |

The electrical properties and percolation behaviors of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) filled immiscible polycarbornate(PC)/ polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) blends were investigated. The PC/PMMA/MWNT nanocomposites were prepared in a twin screw extruder using two kinds of masterbatch dilution technique (PC MB, PMMA MB). The effects of masterbatch dilution technique were confirmed on the phase morphology and percolation threshold of ternary blends. The twin screw extrusion process proceeded under variation of MWNT content, screw rpm. Otherwise, other parameters such as screw geometry, processing temperature were kept constant. The conductive nanocomposites were obtained by using incompatibility of polymers, affinity differences with nanotube and finding optimal manufacturing condition. |
