초록 | Separation of carbon dioxide from combustion flue streams is highly encouraged due to its role in greenhouse effect as well as its use as chemical substance. Whileseveral processes including liquefaction, membrane, PSA, and hybrids of them have beensuggested to serve the task, PSA and its hybrid with membrane process are consideredto be the most promising. Numerous investigations in the field of PSA havebeen dedicated to analysis of recovery of weak adsorbates, especially hydrogen. Inspite of process analogy to weak-adsorbate PSA, the strong-adsorbate carbon dioxidePSA is distinguished from the former, in view of significant adsorptive amountand relatively low-pressure operation with vacuum recovery. These distinctionsprevent naive extensions of weak-adsorbate PSA to strong-adsorbate ones.This study presents a non-isothermal LDF model with a properdimensionless formulation and a robust numerical algorithm. Two isotherm modelsbased on coupled Langmuir and ideal adsorbed solution(IAS) theory are also takeninto consideration. The results of simulation are compared with experimental ones inview of productivity, purity, and recovery ratio. |
