제목 In Vivo Osteogenic Differentiation using BMP-2 and Factors in MPEG-PCL hydrogel
초록 In tissue engineering, the use of injectable in situ-forming hydrogels appears to be a promising approach. In situ-forming hydrogels can incorporate various biological agents, such as growth factors and cells, simply by mixing. Aqueous solutions of MPEG-PCL exhibited sol-to-gel transitions at body temperature. Stem cell therapy draws attention as a promising treatment option for many human diseases. Adult stem cells (ASCs) are self-renewing and multipotent, and can be isolated from a variety of adult sources, but most commonly from bone marrow ASCs may provide cells for the reconstruction of bone tissue via osteogenic differentiation in in vivo-formed hydrogels. Although future studies will be needed to examine biomechanical characters for bone tissue engineered implants as the feature of osteogenic ASCs differentiation, we anticipate that ASCs used as described here will provide numerous benefits as a noninvasive treatment for debilitating orthopedic conditions.
