제목 Highly Active and Selective Non-Precious Metal Catalysts for Oxygen Electrode Reactions
초록 “Hydrogen economy” is considered as a long-term solution for securing our energy future. A critical element for realizing this compelling vision is the development of highly active, durable, and low-cost electrocatalysts for energy conversion devices, such as fuel cells and electrolyzers. In particular, the electrocatalysts for interconversions between oxygen and water, i.e. oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction, are of pivotal importance, as these reactions involve energetically demanding steps. Our group has designed and prepared new ORR and OER electrocatalysts through the understanding of active sites for enhancing their activity and selectivity. In this talk, I will present two classes of nanocatalysts for oxygen electrocatalysis: active edge site engineered graphitic mesoporous carbons for H2O2 production and M–N/C (M=Fe, Co, Ni) catalysts for ORR and H2O2 production.
