제목 Preparation and characterization of PAN/SPSf composite membranes
초록 The proton-conducting acid-base membranes were prepared by solution casting method from blend of polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/sulfonated polysulfone (SPSf). Polysulfone (PSf) was sulfonated using trimethylsilyl chlorosulfonate (TMSCS) as a sulfonation agent. When PAN and SPSf are blended, hydrogen bond is formed between the amine groups of PAN and sulfonic acid groups of SPSf. This hydrogen bond plays a role of proton conducting pathway. The proton conductivity of the prepared membranes was measured by AC impedance analyzer at room temperature; it was increased with increase of PAN amount. But beyond the PAN amount of 20wt.%, it was decreased. This is due to the decrease of extra sulfonic acid groups to conduct proton. Thermal and mechanical stability of the membranes was also increased according to blending of PAN and SPSf.
