Triphenylamine (TPA) is one of interesting optoelectric materials that show photo-induced radical generation at the center of the moiety. Applications of triphenylamine for electric devices are widely studied for several decades, but study on self-assembly of triphenylamine compounds into fine superstructure rarely conducted because of triangular structure of TPA. Recently, photo-induced structural change of TPA was utilized on the construction of conducting well-ordered nanorod. It is quite interesting development due to the applicable potential of TPA. Here we present a system containing TPA with polymerizable moiety that could fix the assembled superstructure by external stimulus. Also, we show the evidence of polymerization and further potentials for electrical utilization. |
