제목 Optical nonlinearity in DNA and DNA nucleobases and their applications in short pulse generation in fiber lasers
초록 DNA has been recently on a hot focus for its unique optoelectronic applications including OLED, photovoltaic cells, and high speed modulators, to name a few. However nonlinear optic applications of DNA, especically in ultrafast fiber laser application has been very scarece. In this talk, recent achievements of our laboratory will be reviewed in terms of DNA application as a saturable absorber in ultrafast laser cavities. Nonlinear optic properties of DNA and its nucleo bases will be investigated along with its functionalities in fiber laser cavities.
