Technologies for sensing human body motions to control external machines, and applying feedback stimulation have attracted tremendous attention with the rising interest in wearable electronics. Accordingly, various materials have been intensively researched for developing wearable mechanical sensors and stimulators. However, the rigidity or opacity of conventional materials has limited extensive technological applications. Herein we report stretchable and fully transparent wearable mechanical sensors and stimulators. We incorporated single-walled carbon nanotubes to the transparent piezoelectric poly(L-lactide) for enhancing sensitivity of the sensors, and silver nanowires to the transparent conductive graphene electrode for enhancing conductivity of the stimulators. A demonstration using the wearable mechanical sensors and stimulator to control a robot arm and apply feedback stimulation proves the applicability of the current technology in interactive human-machine interfaces. |
