제목 Preparation and Characterization of new type of gas diffusion layer (GDL) for PEMFC
초록 The functions of gas diffusion layer (GDL) in PEMFC are to act as a gas diffusion media, provide mechanical support, provide an electric pathway, and channel product water away from the electrodes. The GDL is typically carbon-based material, usually in cloth or paper form. It is manufactured from the huge process of carbonization or fabric process. We propose a simple manufacturing process of new type of GDL which is sheet type reinforced by plastic mesh. Carbon composite type GDL was successfully prepared from carbon black, graphite and polymer binder, and put them on plastic mesh to make sheet. Carbon composite GDLs were characterized by various analyses such as fuel cell test, air permeability, conductivity, porosity, etc.
