Facile synthesis of manganese dioxide/activated carbon/polypyrrole composites as electrochemical supercapacitor electrodes |

In this work, activated carbon synthesized with various weight ratio of manganese dioxide. The electrochemical performance, including capacitance and cyclic stability, of the resulting composites was investigated. The influence of the AC/manganese dioxide(AM) content on the electrochemical properties and changes in pore structure were also examined. The morphology of composites was observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The specific surface area of the composites was calculate from N2 77K adsorption/desorption isotherms by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. The electrochemical performance of the prepared composites was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD) measurements using an Ivium Stat electrochemical workstation (Ivium Technologies). The results prove that the AC/manganese dioxide(AM) ratio affects the electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. |
