The Recovery Mechanism of Open-Circuit Voltage in a Tandem Cell Incorporated with Titanium Oxide/PEDOT:PSS Interlayers |

Serious problems, especially in open-circuit voltage (Voc), are found in a tandem structure incorporated with titanium oxide (TiOx)/PEDOT:PSS interlayers. In a pristine condition, a Voc in the tandem cell is just 0.6V, which is same as a Voc coming from one of the sub cells. After post thermal annealing and light illumination processes, the Voc in the tandem cell is recovered from 0.6V to 1.2V. Inhere, we show the initial Voc is related to the back cell, and the post-treatment processes are related to the revival of the front cell through experimental data. Based on the experimental results, we suggest that the post annealing and light illumination processes are individually contributed to the Voc recovery by forming a tunnel junction together. |
