The formation of biodegradable vesicles from Poly(2-hydroxyethyl aspartamide) grafted with lactic acid oligomers in aqueous solution |
초록 |
Amphiphilic copolymer, poly(2-hydroxyethyl aspartamide) (PHEA) grafted with lactic acid oligomers (LAs) with various degree of substitution (DS) was successfully synthesized by the formation of amide linkage between PHEA and LA. The self-aggregates of PHEA-g-LA in dilute aqueous solution were prepared by precipitate-dialysis method and characterizd. With the light scattering measurement results and TEM images we could confirm the formation of polymer vesicles from copolymers with high DS. The structure of polymer aggregates were changed from micelle to vesicle with increased DS, which means increased hydrophobicity leads the structural transition. We also prepared micron-sized giant vesicles by using film-hydration method and visualized with confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). |
