제목 Soft X-ray Synchrotron Radiation Spectroscopy Study of Actinide Compounds
초록 The electron correlation effect gives rise to an abundant variety of physical properties particularly in the d- and f-based materials. Among this class of materials, the actinide compounds share a unique position due to the interplay between their magnetic and superconducting properties. Those characteristic physical properties of actinide compounds originate from strongly correlated 5f electrons. They exhibit both itinerant and localized properties, and their unified understanding has been a challenging subject in the field of condensed matter physics. In this talk, I will review the electronic structure studies of strongly correlated uranium compounds by photoelectron spectroscopies with soft X-ray synchrotron radiation from JAEA beamline SPring-8 BL23SU. The details of our experimental setup will be also presented.
