제목 Studies on physical properties of Ni (0.05, 0.1 at. %) doped CdS nanoparticles
초록 Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) capped Ni (0.05, 0.1 at.%) doped CdS nanoparticles have been prepared by chemical precipitation technique. The X-diffraction analysis reveals that undoped and Ni-doped CdS nanoparticles exhibits cubic zinc blende structure and no secondary phase was observed.  Formation of ~ 7nm sized nanoparticles has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies. The energy dispersive X – ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis confirms that the Cd, Ni, and S elements were present in the samples. Raman spectra show that the 1LO and 2LO peaks of Ni doped CdS nanoparticles are slightly red shifted when compared to that of undoped CdS nanoparticles. Optical absorption spectra of Ni doped CdS nanoparticles exhibited red shifted compared to that of undoped CdS nanoparticles.
