제목 | First principles and experimental study of olivine electrode |
초록 | The electrochemical properties and phase stabilities of the multi-component olivine compound are studied experimentally and with first principles calculations. The formation of the solid solution from each single component olivine compounds is investigated by XRD study and the calculated first principles energy. We show that the solid solution of multi-components olivine is energetically favored at certain compositions. The electrochemical activity of the multi-components olivine is also investigated with conventional electrochemical characterization methods and first principles calculations. They indicate that there are distinct regions in the electrochemical profile corresponding to each transition metal redox couples, however, a clear shift of redox potential is observed in mixed transition metal compounds. |
