Recently quantum dots (QDs) have been used widely in optoelectronic devices and biomedical labels. Alloyed QDs, which are well-known for their special properties such as superior fluorescence stability and high photoluminescence (PL) intensity are extensively studied. Especially, they are famous for the ability to engineer the band gap energy of semiconductor nanoparticles through changing the ingredient and the inner structure. In this paper, we have synthesized CdSeS alloyed QDs with one pot reaction in the coordinating solvent. Cadmium oxide (CdO) was used as precursor, and selenium powder (Se) and sulfur powder (S) with different ratio were added to synthesize the CdSeS alloyed QDs. With different ratio of Se and S, the alloyed QDs showed different optical properties which were mainly indicated by PL spectrum and fluorescence lifetime. |
