Kitchen supplies have made from various materials, for example, ceramic pottery, metallic spoon, plastic cup, and so on. The plastic tableware, like bowl or container, is preferred to use owing to reasonable price and lightweight to glass or metallic one. However, there is a growing tendency to purchase glassed food container in recent. That is plastic container has possibility to release a toxin at high temperature, and the color and/or odor of foods could be easily permeated the container. To avoid such problem, there were trials to coat the inner surface of plastic container with ceramic solution but the coating was easily peeled out. We tried to fabricate amine-rich ceramic coating in order to raise adhesion between the surface of uncoated kitchen supplies and ceramic coating. In first step, amine-functionalized silica nanoparticles were synthesized via sol-gel system. They show shape of sphere in nano-meter scale with abundant amine-groups on their surface and it was analyzed by FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). |
