제목 Preparation and conducting properties of PEO-PVDF blend polymer electrolyte containing imidazolium ionic liquid
초록 As for lithium ion batteries, safety-related concerns can be occur to the high reactivity of liquid electrolytes. Application of solid polymer electrolytes (SPE) in lithium-ion batteries can address many weakness associated with liquid electrolyte lithium-ion batteries. Due to their physical structure, SPEs exhibit lower ion conductivity than to liquid electrolyte. The issue with the crystallinity experienced with PEO is eliminated by the synthesis of branched polymers, copolymers with low molecular weight PEO or by the incorporation of plasticizing agents.
In this study, we synthesized improved ion conductivity in SPEs doped with ionic liquid. Samples containing ionic liquid at different weight percentages (wt %) were characterized for their electrochemical and ionic properties. The crystallinity and thermal stability of the nanocomposite polymer electrolytes (NCPEs) were estimated using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) or X-ray diffraction (XRD).
