| 제목 | Preparation and Characterization of HIPS/MMT Nanocomposites. |
| 초록 | Nanocomposite technology has been described as the next frontier of material science. Polymer/MMT nanocomposites give improved mechanical and thermal properties and flame retardancy in spite of the introduction of a small amount of MMT to polymers. In this study, HIPS/MMT nanocomposites were prepared by melt blending using an internal mixer with various contents of HIPS, MMT, compatibilizer and flame retardants. Morphology of HIPS/MMT nanocomposites was investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Thermal stability and viscoelastic properties of the nanocomposites were measured by thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA) and rheometric spectrometer(RDS), respectively. Subsequently, the flammability of the nanocomposites was evaluated by UL-94(V-type) test. |
