There is strong recent interest in flexible/bendable energy conversion and energy storage devices to meet power needs of future wearable electronic equipment. Here we demonstrated a split-second, large-area, environmental-friendly and roll-to-roll production compatible process using intense pulsed white light (IPWL) for flexible energy devices including solar cells and supercapacitors. The proposed IPWL treatment has substantial advantages: (i) short processing times on the order of milliseconds, (ii) surface-selective, and will not damage flexible substrates, and (iii) not require an inert gas atmosphere. Nanostructure control of photoactive layers and graphene hybrids via IPWL irradiation will be discussed. |
