제목 | Effect of carboxylated microcrystalline cellulose on fracture toughness of polymer nanocomposites |
초록 | In this study, microcrystalline cellulose(MCCs) were treated with HNO3/H2SO4. MCCs were observed for surface propertiesusing FT-IR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and were used in the epoxycomposites. In addition, the fracture resistance of the epoxy-based nanocompositeswas investigated by measuring the fracture toughness (KIC). The relatedreinforcing mechanisms were also analyzed, and the enhancements on fractureresistance was mainly be attributed to interfacial interlocking effect.Keywords: Microcrystalline cellulose, polymer nanocomposites, interfacialadhesion. |
