Solvent extraction was applied to reuse the acid wastewater produced during the recycling of waste photovoltaic modules. In this study, the wastewater generated during the etching process of photovoltaic modules was separated into acetic acid, nitric acid, and phosphoric acid by solvent extraction using solvents such as tri-octyl phosphate, tri-butyl phosphate, and 2-ethylhexyl alcohol. The optimal organic to aqueous phase ratio and process steps for continuous solvent extraction were determined.
