제목 EDLC performances of corn grains based activated carbons
초록 Corn grains-based activated carbons were prepared by KOH activation at 800 oC. The physico-chemical properties of activated carbons were characterized by nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherm, adsorption energy distribution function and X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy. The electrochemical properties of activated carbons were also evaluated by using cyclic voltammetry and battery charge-discharge system. It was found that the maximum specific capacitance in 0.1 M H2SO4 electrolyte solution was about 167 F/g. In addition, a linear relationship between the surface area (or the pore volume) and the specific capacitance was observed.
