제목 Unusual trend of reverse thermal gelling poly(ethylene glycol)-DL-poly(alanine) diblock copolymers
초록 The poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(DL-alanine) (mPEG-PA) diblock copolymers underwent an unusual sol-to-gel transition as the temperature increased. As the block length of the hydrophobic polypeptide increased the sol-to-gel transition temperature did not simply change. The cryo-TEM image showed vesicle-micelle-fibrous shape at low concentration as the PA block length increased. Peptides kept their random coil conformation whereas PEG was dehydrated as the temperature increased. The abnormality seems to be caused by the difference in aggregation patterns of the polymer in water.
