Dual Bioactive Molecules-Loaded Microspheres for the Therapeutic Treatment of Arthritis |
초록 |
Arthritis is a joint disorder that involves inflammation and damage of joint cartilage. It is well known that the anti-inflammatory medications, pain medications, and immune-altering medications are commonly utilized therapeutic techniques for the arthritis. However, their insufficient cure outcomes have been considered as critical limitations. In this study, we developed a dual bioactive molecules (dexamethasone & TGF-β3)-loaded poly(ε-caprolactone-co-L-lactide) microspheres which can suppress the inflammation in joint and allow the regeneration of the damaged cartilage, and thus compensate the conventional limitations. The release profiles of both bioactive molecules from the microspheres were investigated. And their therapeutic effects for the arthritis were also evaluated by in vitro cell culture using arthritis-induced chondrocytes and bone marrow stem cells (This work was supported by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, #2012-0001052) |
