Although recent researches have been focused on Sb2S3-Sensitized solar cells, the power conversion efficiency has been still being slowly improving because the Sb2S3 formed by conventional chemical bath deposition (CBD) method inevitably make the oxide impurities. The power conversion efficiency is product of current density (Jsc), open circuit voltage (Voc) and fill factor (FF) so that we need to control all of them. The Jsc depends on light harvesting, charge injection, and charge collection. The Voc and F.F depends on charge recombination caused by defects, traps, dark current leakage, and the contact resistance. Therefore, to improve power conversion efficiency, the pure Sb2S3 should be synthesized because the impurities such as Sb2O3 and Sb2(SO4)3 act as recombination centers thereby reducing Voc and Jsc. In this work, we controlled the morphology of pure Sb2S3 thin film by spin and heat treatment process. Through the simple technique, we could greatly improve the efficiency of planar Sb2S3 sensitized solar cells.
