제목 Preparation of electrically tunable colloidal photonic crystals
초록 Responsive photonic crystals which change their reflection wavelength or intensity under external stimulus, have stimulated enormous research interest due to their applications in color displays, bio- and chemical sensors, photonic printing and decoration and anti-counterfeit labels. In this study, we have developed electrically tunable colloidal photonic crystals in non-polar. we first improve the dispersibility of iron oxide particles in non-polar solvents through surface modification of hydrophobic chains. the surface reactivity of iron oxide can be greatly improved by coating with a thin layer of silica. The charge control agent was also added to the nanoparticle suspension in the dielectric medium to improve the mobility of the suspended photonic crystals.
