An application of sodium materials as cathode material for hybrid capacitor. |
초록 |
Hybrid capaitor (HC) is generally consists of an electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) electrode as cathode and a battery electrode as anode. The HC is known to have properties such as power density and cycle life and also have a higher energy density and capacitance. The operating mechanism of HC is based on the connatural properties of the two electrode materials. In this paper, a new hybrid capacitor (HC) cell was assembled by using an activated carbon (AC) as negative electrode and metal oxide materials such as FePO₄, Na₃V₂(PO₄)₃ and Na₃V₂(PO₄)₂F₃as the positive electrode. To confirm the possibilities of those materials, we utilized Na metal as anode to assemble the half cell first and investigated the possibility of practical application and performance improvement as a positive electrode material through the electrochemical test such as constant current charge/discharge and cyclic voltammetry (CV). In addition, the electrochemical behaviors of hybrid capacitor were also characterized according to organic electrolytes such as NaPF₆ in PC, NaClO₄in PC. |
