fabrication of dense/porous laminate structure using extrusion for enhanced toughness |
초록 |
Dense/porous laminates ceramic composite structures were fabricated using extrusion technique. Biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) powder was used to fabricate dense and porous layers. As you know BCP powder which is composed of HA and TCP, has good biocompatibility and bioactivity. Dense/porous laminates structures have attracted attention as they are effective in improving toughness. Both experimental and theoretical works reported in the literature have indicated that the ability to deflect crack depends on the fracture energy ratio of the interlayers and the laminae in the layered systems. we fabricated a dense/porous laminate structure using extrusion of ceramic/camphene slurry with two different contents of 20vol% and 40vol%. first, the laminate with 40 vol% was frozen uni-directionally in a 20mm diameter mold which was then extruded through a gradually reducing path diameter with a cross section of 1mm (diameter) at room temperature. The same procedure was repeated to extrude for the laminate with 20vol%. laminating dense(40vol%) and porous(20vol%) layers in sequence to same procedure was repeated to extrude for the laminate. Following this experimental procedure, we can produce BCP dense/porous laminate structures successfully. |
