Preparation of conducting polymer coated black diatom for solar to steam generation |
초록 |
The solar to steam generation system is possible to improve renewable energy needs. To obtain high efficiency of steam generation, appropriate porous substrate is required. The substrates that is worked in solar to steam generation system were usually porous scaffold. However, the powder materials have advantages in usage. Herein, we chosen the diatom residue for the substrate of steam generation system. The polypyrrole which has black color and polystyrene were introduced on diatom using Vapor Deposition Polymerization(VDP). The VDP system has advantage to coat on substrate very uniformly and thinly that is result from gas phase process. Additionally, the introduced hydrophobic polystyrene can help to float on the water without artificial supporter. We reduced Fe3+ ion that was remain in polypyrrole coating step using basic solution to introduce soft magnetism. As a result, the prepared black diatom can absorb sun light and generate the steam using sun light efficiently. |
